A closely supervised first go at silversmithing for ages 5 to 11, with blunt tools, short steps and a smith an arm away. They do the work and you get the photographs.

Extra silver beyond the included grams is charged at cost, around IDR 85K per gram, weighed in front of you.

Who books Sanur
Families with young children, couples back in Bali for a second or third time, guests on longer and slower stays, and anyone who has deliberately chosen the quiet east coast. Our kids class fills up here far more often than it does in Kuta.
The feel of the room
Low-key and unhurried. Sanur has no club strip and very little traffic noise, so the loudest thing in the studio is usually the hammer. Nobody is moved along to free up a bench for the next group.
Getting here
Jl. Pasar, Sanur, Denpasar Selatan. Walking or cycling distance from the beachwalk hotels, ten minutes from the harbour and the Nusa Penida fast boats, roughly twenty-five minutes from the airport. Open daily, 9am to 5pm.

Give someone a morning at the bench instead of another souvenir. Pick any class, we send a printable card with their name and a code, and they choose their own date once they are in Bali. If they upgrade to a bigger class they simply pay the difference at the bench.
Five benches or more in one sitting, for families travelling together, friends sharing a trip, or a small retreat. Everyone gets their own bench and their own piece, prices stay the same per person, and we hold the studio for your slot so the room is yours.

Questions before you book
Do I need any experience?
None at all. Most of our guests have never touched a torch before. Every class is guided step by step by a Balinese silversmith, and the tools are set up so beginners get a clean result on the first try. Children are welcome too: our Kids Class is built for ages 5 to 11, with close supervision throughout.
How long does a class take?
Between 1 and 2 hours, whichever class you choose. The Single, Couple, Kids and Brass classes all run 1 to 2 hours depending on how detailed your design is, so a class fits comfortably into half a day in Sanur.
Do I take my jewellery home the same day?
Yes. Everything is finished, polished and boxed inside the class, so you walk out wearing it. There is nothing to collect later and nothing shipped.
What is included in the price?
1-5 gr Silver materials, tools, instruction, mineral water. Gold plating and gemstone setting are available as add-ons.
How much does a silver class in Bali cost?
Our classes run from IDR 500K to IDR 1.200K. The Brass Class is IDR 500K per person, the Kids Class IDR 550K per child, the Single Silver Class IDR 600K per person, and the Couple Silver Class IDR 1.200K for two people. Silver or brass, all tools and step-by-step guidance are included in every price. Gold plating is IDR 250K per item and a gemstone setting IDR 200K per stone.

Do I need to book in advance, or can I come today?
Same day is often possible, but message us first so we can check the bench. Send a WhatsApp with your date, time and how many people are coming, and we will hold your place for 24 hours without any payment. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the class.
Where in Bali is the workshop, and do you pick up?
We are on Jl. Pasar in Sanur, Denpasar Selatan, open every day from 9am to 5pm. From Denpasar, Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud or Nusa Dua we can arrange a driver at extra cost.
Is this a good thing to do in Sanur with kids or on a rainy day?
Yes to both. The whole class happens indoors at the bench, so weather makes no difference. Children from five years old have their own class with child-sized tools and close supervision, and parents are welcome to stay and watch or make a piece of their own alongside them.
Can I buy a silver class as a gift?
Yes. A gift card covers any class at our Sanur studio. We send a printable card with the recipient name and a code, and they choose their own date once they are in Bali. From IDR 500K, and if they move up to a larger class they simply pay the difference at the bench.
Can you take a group, and how many fit at once?
Five people or more counts as a group booking and we will hold the studio for your slot. Everyone gets their own bench and their own piece, prices stay the same per person, and mixed groups are fine, so adults can work in silver while the children do the kids class at the next table.
When is the best time of day and year to book?
Mornings from 9am are the calmest and the studio stays cool. Afternoon sittings suit guests coming back on the lunchtime boats from Nusa Penida or Lembongan. July to September and the Christmas and New Year weeks fill several days ahead, so message early. October and November are much quieter in Sanur, and a same-day bench is usually possible.
